Single-Stage Direct-Drive Leg Rest
This configuration uses a single motorized linkage to extend the footrest platform forward from the seat cushion edge. The direct-drive mechanism eliminates intermediate gear trains, resulting in smooth, quiet deployment with minimal mechanical complexity. Because the motion path is compact, the leg rest can be integrated into a wide range of vehicle seat platforms — from compact MPVs to full-size luxury vans — without requiring additional floor pan clearance or seat base modification. When retracted, it sits flush beneath the cushion front edge, preserving legroom and cabin passage width.
Two-Stage Leg Rest
For vehicles with generous interior space and occupants who expect full-extension relaxation, the two-stage leg rest provides incremental support. The first stage extends a calf-support platform from the seat base; the second stage deploys an additional footrest section that elevates the ankles and achieves a near-horizontal leg position. This dual-phase motion distributes support across the entire lower limb rather than concentrating load behind the knees. The extended footprint makes it ideal for luxury MPV captain chairs, executive shuttle seating, and high-end camper conversions where cabin depth is not a limiting factor.
Customization Options
Both configurations can be tailored to the seat program. Pad surface materials — leather, synthetic leather, or fabric — are selected to match the main seat upholstery. Frame finish and linkage color can be coordinated with seat base hardware. Motor torque and travel speed can be calibrated to match the seat control switch response profile, ensuring the leg rest deploys at a pace that feels integrated with the rest of the seat adjustments.
